Review: Crossing the Line by Audra North

A reporter looking for a big break gets involved with a race car driver with a secret that could destroy his entire team if they find out.

Corrine Bellowes is the only woman in a male profession: sport reporting. So when she gets a chance at the assignment of a lifetime interviewing Ty Riggs, the hottest new driver on and off the track, nothing’s going to stand in her way. Least of all the sexy racecar driver himself. Even if she has to pretend to be someone else to do it.

Ty Riggs has more important things to do than strip down for a magazine spread, but meeting his interviewer, she has him reconsidering the stripping and wanting to cross the line between professional and personal. When the interview is a huge success, Ty has the perfect excuse to spend more time with one particular member of the press. But as their relationship deepens and the season heats up, Corrine’s big secret jeopardizes everything they’ve built.

Corrine Bellowes maybe new at sports writing however she was not new to racing.  She has followed the sport since she was a little girl watching it every Sunday on tv with her grandfather eating grilled cheese sandwiches.  She even went to a few races with him over the years.  She loved the sport which is why she jumped at the chance when her boss handed her the assignment of Interviewing Ty Riggs. ‘The’ Ty Riggs who happens to be the hottest race car driver out there right now. Nothing is going to stand in her way, she was getting this job done.  Then why was she feeling so guilty?  Could she actually go ahead and do what her boss asked her to do to get the story he wants and jeopardize everything, her soul?

Ty Riggs, is at the top of his game right now. After winning you would think he would feel on top of the world, but no, he has his own secrets, family secrets that could hurt his racing companies integrity if it ever got out.   He earned his wins, his title, he worked his way up racing and should be proud but when his family’s racing business was accused of cheating he lost it and blew his cool.  Was it to close to the truth?    Now the reporters are all over him, one in particular however has caught his attention, She seems to see him actually see him.  Can she see what he is hiding?

Secrets! They sure can eat away at you especially when it’s your integrity on the line.  What makes you a good person or a bad person, or is it more what you can live with?   This is a telling tale of two people battling with truth and integrity.   When Ty and Corrine meet there was a definite connection and I loved watching them build their relationship. I would have liked a little more depth between the characters and story itself however it was a nice read. If you are looking for an entertaining read then this is for you.

Marked by Moonlight (A Shifter-Witch Novel) (Volume 1) by Karen Victoria Tavares

One tragic night can change your life forever.   A tragedy that opened a door to a world Professor Brizza Lynn Greer never knew existed. This same world her own family kept her from.  A world full of supernatral and magic.  Professor Brizza Lynn Greer wants vengence for that one tragic night. She however must first come to terms with this new world first, the issue that her family kept this from her and now to top it off her own magic that has been bound now coming to light.

The story was interesting, It started off with a bang but then slowed down throughout until the end.  The slowness was fine it still held my interested it just took a little while to get there. The accpetance of the world and the power was very quick for the character it was suprising,  I would like to read the next installment to see how the story and characters develop more. All in all good read.
